Slack asks you to approve the bot’s minimal scopes.
You’ll get a welcome DM with quick tips.
Try /kb, /summary, /alert, /uploadkb.

Scopes we request: commands, chat:write, app_mentions:read, channels:read, users:read, im:read, im:write. Optional if you upload files: files:read.

What happens next (Teams)

Teams installs the bot for your tenant or team (admin policies may apply).
Open a DM with the bot and send any message to initialize proactive notifications.
Use the same commands (e.g., type kb <question>, or help).

Core features work with standard Teams bot permissions. No Microsoft Graph consent is required for the basics.

Post-install checklist (1–2 minutes)

Select your alert source: /config alert_platform pagerduty|splunk|ocm
(Optional) Choose your LLM backend: /config llm_backend openai|huggingface|ollama
(Optional) Set a specific model: /config openai_model gpt-4o, hf_model ..., or ollama_model mistral
(Optional) Admin DMs:
- Slack: /config slack_admin_user_id UXXXXXXXX
- Teams: /config teams_admin_user_id <AAD Object ID>, /config teams_admin_upns you@company.com
